I was honored to be invited to the 30th amfAR Gala Cannes in 2024, where I had the opportunity to photograph the iconic Coco Rocha. This event, dedicated to AIDS research, symbolizes the relentless fight against HIV/AIDS, echoing Elizabeth Taylor's spirit in supporting those still battling today.

As the week ramped up, so did Rocha’s outfits. Her next look, for the amfAR Cannes Gala, resembled the Palme d’Or itself. Glimmering gold panels sprawled like leaves over her sheer nude gown, while a gold cape made of feathers hugged her figure and added to the ethereal ensemble. The supermodel wore her dark hair slicked back with a headband, looking like she had emerged from some divine source, as in Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus.
